If you are posting newsletters and notifications frequently to your website, it may be best to include an option for people to choose to subscribe to them rather than automatically sending them out. This allows people to read them on their own terms and they won’t be annoyed with an abundance of mail if they were not looking for that specific newsletter.
According to Tech Republic, “Customers prefer an opt-in approach for participation in newsletters and notifications. They are less likely to appreciate being automatically included and having to opt out of a service.”
