Malware and hacking are things that cause many headaches and much frustration for a company who finds that they have been affected by it. Many times when affected by malware and hacking, it is necessary to restore your data to its original state. This can be very frustrating if all of your data was stored “in-house” and was affected. One thing you can do to avoid this is to create off-site data backups.
According to ETec7, “Ultimately, one of the gravest threats your data is going to face is going to come from malware and the practitioners of this kind of code. While your company’s servers may have never come under any kind of attack in the past, this is no guarantee that it won’t happen in the future. It is also no guarantee that it hasn’t happened already. Many hacking attacks come about without anyone being the wiser about them, with business continuing in a state of blissful ignorance as the company’s data is corrupt and keeps being used in a completely innocent fashion. One of the best ways you can move past this kind of issue is to have a backup copy of your data far away that can be used for comparisons and to fix anything that goes corrupt.”
